On September 29th, in the city of Kamyanske, the first Ukrainian regional Veterans Forum took place, bringing together representatives of the government, local self-government, volunteers, and a delegation from the Public Organization “PERSPECTIVE CENTRE.” The event was organized by the “Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs” and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. The forum was attended by Minister of Veterans’ Affairs, Mrs. Yulia Laputina, as well as representatives from the ministry.
This historic forum, titled “Ukraine. Defenders. Future,” marked the first event of its kind in Ukraine and was held within the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Krivoriy district was represented by a strong delegation, including members of the “PERSPECTIVE CENTRE” organization, thanks to the support of the Krivoriy district military administration.
During the event, important topics were discussed, including post-war veteran rehabilitation, with a particular focus on psychological support. The psychological aspect was emphasized by numerous speakers, including representatives from the ministry and Minister Laputina herself, as well as representatives from local communities.
-We are grateful for the invitation extended to our Public Organization, ‘PERSPECTIVE CENTRE,’ to this event, where we had the opportunity to learn about the experiences of socializing and supporting veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war in the communities of Dnipropetrovsk. After all, it is the families and loved ones who are the first to welcome our heroes, and their initial socialization depends on them. We are pleased that the government is paying due attention to psychological support for veterans. This is one of the top priorities, and we are already working to provide assistance to soldiers in the Krivoriy district. However, it is essential for us to learn from various communities’ experiences. Thanks to our participation in the Veterans Forum, we have gained more contacts and acquaintances that will help us better fulfill our vital mission in the future,” commented Orysia Klymchuk, the chairperson of the “PERSPECTIVE CENTRE,” on her trip to the forum.
Despite our relatively limited experience, our young public organization already receives invitations to such significant events as the First Regional Veterans Forum, “Ukraine. Defenders. Future.” We are open to dialogue and cooperation for the sake of common victories and support for our heroes.
